The first ever Construction Sector Joint Consultative Group Meeting was held in Lilongwe from the 24th to the 25th of June, 2019. The meeting which brought various stakeholders in the industry was opened by the newly appointed Minister of Transport and Public Works, Hon. Ralph Jooma, MP.

Commenting on the development, National Construction Industry Council Chief Executive Officer, Linda Phiri, said the forum offered a unique opportunity for a collaborative approach to issues affecting the Construction Industry in Malawi. She noted that in the past players have engaged in disjointed efforts which have derailed progress in the sector.

The  meeting was organized jointly with the Ministry of Transport and Public Works which is the responsible ministry for the sector.
