Press release – Deadlines for submission for registration and upgrading applications

Home 9 Announcements 9 Press release – Deadlines for submission for registration and upgrading applications

The National Construction Industry Council was established by the National Construction Industry Act (Cap. 53:05 of the Laws of Malawi) to regulate, develop and promote the Construction Industry in Malawi.

In ensuring that persons engaged in the construction industry are registered and maintained in various categories, the Council is required by the Act to hold Committee and Board meetings at least four times a year i.e. March, June, September and December. These meetings are aimed at vetting and approving all applications for registration and upgrading that have been received since the previous board meeting.

The Council would like to inform persons engaged in the construction industry and the general public that applications for registration and upgrading for the December Board meeting need to be submitted to the Council no later than Monday, 21st October, 2024. This will enable timely processing of applications by the Council. All applications submitted beyond this time will be considered during the following meeting of the Board.
