De-registration of RM Enterprise Ltd

Home 9 Announcements 9 De-registration of RM Enterprise Ltd

The National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) would like to inform all Construction Stakeholders and the general public that following a disciplinary hearing conducted by the Disciplinary Committee of the NCIC Board, RM Enterprise Ltd was found guilty of professional misconduct and has subsequently been de-registered in accordance with Section 27 of the National Construction Industry Act, (Cap 53:05 of the Laws of Malawi) and in accordance with the National Construction Industry (Disciplinary) Rules, Cap 53:05 Sub.leg. p29.

RM Enterprise Ltd was found guilty of deceiving a client by submitting a forged NCIC receipt to carry out construction works contrary to General Rules of Practice 3(a) of the Code of Ethics for Contractors in the Construction Industry and conducting deceptive acts contrary to Fundamental Principle 5 of the Codes of Ethics for Contractors in the Construction Industry.

In view of this, RM Enterprise Ltd is therefore no longer allowed to practice in the construction industry in Malawi effective 12th December 2024.

NCIC, therefore,  is advising all stakeholders to take note of this development and ensure that they do not engage the services of RM Enterprise Ltd as a contractor since the NCI Act does not allow a person or firm not registered with NCIC to carry on business in the construction industry.

NCIC would like to further advise all stakeholders that it is a criminal offence under the NCI Act for a person or firm not registered with NCIC to be engaged to offer services in the construction industry.

By order of the Council.
