The National Construction Industry Council of Malawi (NCIC) is pleased to inform all stakeholders and the public of its inaugural launch of the NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION DAY, scheduled for end of May 2025, in Lilongwe under the theme “Quality Driven Construction Industry: Building for Generations”. The event will be preceded by two days of exhibitions and showcasing of various project developments and will recognize and celebrate the construction sector’s crucial role in shaping the nation’s environment and contributing to socio-economic transformation. The event will also showcase the sector’s alignment with Malawi’s Agenda 2063.
One of the main purposes of National Construction Day is to celebrate the contributions of the construction industry, including economic growth, improved quality of life, investment attraction, and overall national development. The event will also reflect on the industry’s role in diversifying the economy, advancing technology, and fostering national pride.
The National Construction Day will provide a platform to promote quality infrastructure, ethical conduct, integrity, partnerships, safety, sustainability, agility, and innovation in construction. The event will encourage industry-wide reflection and appreciation for the resilience and dedication of all players involved.
The NCIC, which was established to regulate, develop, and promote the construction industry, remains committed to ensuring the sector grows sustainably and continues to contribute to Malawi’s development.
