In pursuit for a ‘Transformed, sustainable, and quality-driven construction sector in Malawi’, the National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) has graduated a total of 162 students in Foremanship and Certificate in Construction Management on 22nd November in Lilongwe.
Speaking at the ceremony, NCIC’s training and research director, Neema Kadaluka said she is optimistic that the graduates will help in the promotion and development of the construction industry and ensure quality works, hence a tool for the implementation of the Malawi Agenda 2063.
The graduates expressed their confidence in the knowledge they have acquired from the studies saying it will be used to improve the standards and quality of buildings in Malawi.
NCIC also provides foundational training for construction industry players who may lack extensive knowledge in the field through the three technical colleges of Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
While this was the 3rd cohort of the Certificate in Construction Management, it was the 4th for the Foremanship.
